Event Terms

Effective Date: October 2, 2026

These Event Terms apply to events, tastings, dinners, workshops, educational experiences, appearances, and other in-person or virtual events sold, hosted, administered, or expressly governed by Statements By Habibi, doing business as Tahiirah Habibi (“Tahiirah Habibi,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

These Terms should be read together with our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and any event-specific terms shown on the applicable event or checkout page.

If event-specific terms conflict with these general Event Terms, the more specific terms control for that event.

1. Event Details

Before purchasing or registering, please review the applicable event page for:

  • event date and time;

  • venue or virtual-access details;

  • ticket price;

  • age restrictions;

  • included experiences;

  • accessibility information;

  • refund and cancellation terms;

  • transfer rules; and

  • any other material participation requirements.

Event details may vary by event.

2. Tickets and Registration

A ticket or registration provides only the access, benefits, sessions, tastings, materials, or other inclusions expressly described for that ticket type.

A purchase is not complete until the applicable payment or registration process has been successfully completed.

We may require the purchaser or attendee to provide accurate contact information so we can communicate material event updates.

3. Age Requirements and Alcohol

Events involving alcohol service, wine tastings, or alcohol-focused programming may be limited to persons 21 years of age or older in the United States or the applicable legal drinking age in another jurisdiction.

Valid government-issued identification may be required.

Alcohol consumption is optional.

We, the venue, caterers, wineries, producers, or other authorized service providers may refuse or discontinue alcohol service where required or permitted by law.

Guests are expected to consume responsibly.

4. Event Changes

Speakers, chefs, wineries, wines, menus, performers, venues, schedules, programming, sponsors, partners, and other event elements may change where reasonably necessary.

A change to one or more event components does not automatically mean the event has been canceled.

If a material change affects the event, we will provide information or options as appropriate.

5. Attendee Cancellations

Attendee cancellation and refund terms will be disclosed on the applicable event page or during checkout.

Unless otherwise stated for the specific event, purchasing a ticket does not automatically create a right to a refund for inability to attend.

Any applicable refund window, transfer option, resale restriction, or credit policy must be reviewed before purchase.

Nothing in these Terms removes rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

6. Event Cancellation by Us

If we cancel an event and do not reschedule it, ticket holders will receive the refund or other remedy required by the applicable purchase terms and law.

If only part of an event is canceled, any remedy will depend on the nature of the change, the applicable ticket terms, and applicable law.

7. Rescheduling or Postponement

If an event is postponed or rescheduled, we will provide ticket holders with information about the new date and any available attendance, transfer, credit, or refund options.

Where a refund right is required by law, that right will be honored.

8. Weather, Emergencies, and Circumstances Beyond Reasonable Control

Events may be delayed, modified, relocated, postponed, or canceled because of circumstances outside our reasonable control, including:

  • severe weather;

  • natural disasters;

  • public-safety concerns;

  • venue emergencies;

  • governmental action;

  • transportation disruption;

  • labor disputes;

  • power or technology failures;

  • illness affecting essential participants;

  • public-health conditions; or

  • similar unforeseen circumstances.

Any refund, credit, transfer, or rescheduling option will be handled according to the applicable event terms and law.

9. Ticket Transfers and Resale

Ticket transferability will be disclosed on the applicable event page.

Where transfers are permitted, we may require updated attendee information.

Unauthorized commercial resale, ticket counterfeiting, or use of tickets in unauthorized promotions is prohibited.

A ticket purchased through an unauthorized reseller may not be valid.

10. Conduct

Attendees must behave in a respectful, lawful, and reasonably safe manner.

We may refuse admission to or remove a person for conduct including:

  • threats or violence;

  • harassment;

  • discriminatory abuse;

  • unlawful activity;

  • severe disruption;

  • unsafe intoxication;

  • intentional interference with event operations;

  • refusal to comply with reasonable safety or venue instructions; or

  • conduct that presents a genuine risk to attendees, staff, participants, or property.

Any refund eligibility following removal will depend on the circumstances, applicable event terms, and law.

11. Venue Rules

Attendees must comply with reasonable rules imposed by the venue.

Venue requirements may include policies concerning identification, security screening, prohibited items, bags, photography, smoking, alcohol, health or safety procedures, or other operational matters.

Venue requirements may be changed by the venue where reasonably necessary.

12. Food, Beverage, and Allergy Information

Some events may include food or beverage service.

Menus, ingredients, preparation methods, and participating vendors may change.

If you have an allergy, dietary restriction, or other food-related concern, contact us before the event where possible.

We will make reasonable efforts to communicate or accommodate known needs where practicable, but we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment unless expressly stated.

Guests with serious allergies should make participation decisions appropriate to their individual circumstances.

13. Photography, Video, and Recording

Events may be photographed, filmed, or otherwise recorded for editorial, archival, promotional, social-media, educational, or marketing purposes.

General crowd, atmosphere, stage, speaker, and event documentation may include attendees incidentally.

Where an identifiable attendee is intentionally featured for broader promotional or commercial use and a release is legally required or appropriate, we may request separate permission.

If you have a significant privacy, safety, or accessibility concern regarding event photography or recording, contact us before the event where reasonably possible.

Attendee photography or recording may also be subject to venue or event-specific restrictions.

14. Accessibility

We aim to make our events reasonably accessible where practicable.

If you need an accessibility accommodation, contact us as early as reasonably possible before the event.

Please identify the event and the accommodation or access need.

We will make reasonable efforts to address accessibility requests, subject to the venue, event format, available resources, and applicable law.

15. Personal Property

Attendees are responsible for their personal belongings.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property except where caused by our conduct in circumstances where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

16. Health and Safety

Attendees participate in events subject to ordinary risks associated with travel, public gatherings, food and beverage service, and event activities.

Follow posted safety instructions and reasonable directions from event staff and venue personnel.

If an event includes an activity with additional material risks, separate participation or waiver terms may apply.

17. Third-Party Participants

Events may include venues, wineries, chefs, restaurants, speakers, sponsors, vendors, performers, contractors, and other independent third parties.

Those third parties may be responsible for their own products, services, statements, conduct, and legal obligations.

Participation by a third party does not necessarily imply ownership, employment, endorsement, or partnership beyond the relationship expressly identified for the event.

18. Marketing and Sponsor Communications

Purchasing or attending an event does not automatically enroll you in unrelated marketing communications.

Where optional email or SMS marketing is offered, any required consent will be obtained separately.

We will not provide attendee contact information to sponsors or other third parties for their own direct marketing unless the attendee has been appropriately informed and the disclosure is permitted by law.

If an attendee voluntarily provides information directly to a sponsor or third party, that third party's own privacy practices may apply.

19. Virtual Events

For virtual events, attendees are responsible for having reasonably compatible internet access, devices, software, and audio or video functionality.

Access credentials may be personal to the registered attendee and may not be shared unless expressly permitted.

Unauthorized recording, redistribution, rebroadcasting, or commercial reproduction of protected virtual-event content is prohibited.

If a material platform failure within our reasonable control prevents delivery of a paid virtual event, we will provide an appropriate remedy consistent with the applicable event terms and law.

20. Intellectual Property

Event materials, presentations, recordings, written materials, educational content, branding, and other protected materials remain the property of their respective rights holders.

Purchasing a ticket does not grant permission to reproduce, sell, distribute, rebroadcast, or commercially exploit event content unless expressly authorized.

21. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Statements By Habibi, Tahiirah Habibi, and their applicable owners, employees, contractors, and representatives will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising solely from ordinary event participation.

This limitation does not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

Nothing in these Terms eliminates rights or remedies that applicable law requires.

22. Governing Law

These Event Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.

Any venue, arbitration, waiver, or dispute-resolution provision should be added only after appropriate legal review.
